Racking up over one million views in a week, Alkaline's new single and video 'Ocean Wave' continues to be the top trending video on the video sharing platform Youtube. The storyline for the video is an ambitious attempt to depict Alkaline as a being from another world in mould of Clarke Kent/Superman.
This is disappointing, as that story has been told too many times and is quite tiresome at this point. It's time for video directors to come up with original story lines along the the path of Afrofuturism or Jamaican mythology. Those direction would have served the message more effectively.
