Two sons of Clarendon, Jamaica—Jahdon and Randy Valentine—bridge continents and generations with their powerful new single, "Weed Ya," a vibrant tribute to reggae music’s deep-rooted connection to the herb. Released through Tuff Gong International, "Weed Ya" delivers a modern roots vibe layered with soulful melodies and heartfelt lyrics that honour the cultural and spiritual significance of marijuana.

Jahdon, known for his hypnotic vocal style and conscious songwriting, originally penned "Weed Ya" ten years ago, inspired by the universal vibes of music and the ritual of smoking herb. In 2024, he built a fresh riddim around the song at AudioTraxx Studios in Jamaica, crafting a celebratory, party-ready soundscape. Randy Valentine, acclaimed for his rich storytelling and smooth delivery, recorded his feature from England, adding a transatlantic flavour to the track.

Both artists, rooted in Rastafarian beliefs, use "Weed Ya" as a platform to uplift and advocate for marijuana’s sacramental and cultural importance. The collaboration effortlessly blends Jahdon’s deep-rooted Jamaican foundation with Randy Valentine’s worldly perspective, creating a timeless anthem that resonates with reggae lovers across the globe.
