Naomi Cowan returns with new single True Lies

Naomi Cowan, daughter of reggae royalty, carries her legacy forward with grace, fire, and femininity. Fresh off her powerful role as Marcia Griffiths in Bob Marley: One Love, Naomi’s new music has been quietly building momentum.

Her latest single, "True Lies", produced by Toddla T, explores the tricky space where love and secrets collide. Those moments when something “wrong” can feel deeply “right.” With layered, rich, authentic production and honest storytelling, Naomi challenges the black-and-white idea of love.

This is the first taste of her upcoming album, created alongside Toddla T and key players like Runkus, Winta James, Jazzwad and Hector “Roots” Lewis. The full project drops at the end of summer.

While many believe she’s backed by a major label, Cowan has quietly forged her own empire, building her legacy one authentic release at a time. True Lies and the upcoming album are released under her independent label, 7th C Records, which debuted with her breakout single Paradise Plum and has remained the home for her music, including the Star Girl mixtape with Walshy Fire and Major Lazer.
