Veteran Reggae band, Inner Circle is enjoying another purple patch, which seem to be the norm for the very successful band, that no one speaks or raves about in Jamaica. With the release of the movie Bad Boys for Life, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, the band is enjoying major exposure for their mega hit Bad Boys. The Sony produced flick, earned another $4.3 million in its seventh weekend to bring its earnings up to $197.4 million. Sweat (A La La La La Long) was the follow-up to Bad Boys, the massive hit single was also recently sampled by Shakira for her latest single, Me Gusta featuring Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA. Me Gusta so far has sold platinum in the US Latin market and Spain. The single also received gold plaques in Mexico and Brazil.
Both singles, Sweat and Bad Boys are from Bad Boys Album, which won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 1994. The songs were performed by former lead singer Carlton Coffie.
