Kanye West Is Set To Acquire Parler As An Online Space For Free Speech

Updated: Oct 21, 2022

Kanye West has made a decision that aims to keep his views from being censored on social media.

On Monday (Oct. 17), Parlement Technologies announced it has entered into an agreement to sell Parler, a free speech platform, to the Hip-Hop billionaire. Statement from West: “In a world where conservative opinions are considered to be controversial we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves,” said West, according to a press release.

The announcement follows after West continued to face backlash for spewing controversial comments rooted in what many are labelling as hate speech.
