Mexico Based Kass Smith Releases New Album

Mexico based Jamaican reggae singer Kass Smith (formerly Kassiano) has released his long-awaited album 'Journeys.'

'Journeys' is Kass Smith’s musical documentation of his journey from Jamaica to Mexico. “Journeys” includes both English and Spanish tracks. It is a beautiful mixture of original songs and cover songs with tracks featuring Teacha Dee, UT Ras, Jah Wiz and Nateesha Stream. The album was produced by legendary Jamaican saxophonist and producer Dean Fraser and renowned producer Mikie Bennett and is available now on all leading streaming and downloading platforms.

Kass Smith is a bilingual, award-winning, Jamaican-born singer, songwriter, fine artist, entrepreneur, holistic teacher, and motivational life coach who has lived in Mexico. Born Roger Kassiano Smith in Hanover, Jamaica, in a family of five, Kass began singing and performing at six. His father, an architect, and mother, a school principal and Justice of the Peace, instilled focused work and determination as key to achieving preset goals.

At nine, he won his first gold medal in the national performing arts festival. This was the genesis of a prolific career as a recording artist, writer, musician, and actor. Kass performed at various theatres across the island and received several gold, silver, and bronze medals in the national festival awards in the years to follow. He also acted alongside Christopher Walken in 'Going to Extremes' and Maxi Priest in 'Scam'
