Jamaica Gospel Star Reveals 2026 Top 10 Finalists

The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission has unveiled the Top 10 finalists for the 2026 Jamaica Gospel Star Competition. According to the JCDC, the contestants have begun rehearsals, workshops and promotional activities ahead of live televised elimination shows on TVJ this July.

The competition continues to serve as an important national platform for gospel performers, particularly emerging artists seeking visibility beyond church and community circuits.

Jamaican gospel is often treated as separate from the wider entertainment industry, but Gospel Star demonstrates that faith-based music is also part of Jamaica’s creative economy. It involves talent development, broadcast production, performance training and audience-building.
