J Derobie, Afro-Dancehall's latest Star

Afro-Dancehall latest heavy hitter Ghanaian, J Derobie just released his new single 'Back it' which comes from his debut album A King is Born. A protege of super star Mr Eazi, J Derobie "buss out" in 2019 with the song 'Poverty'. Performed in Jamaican patois, the song was so hot that it came to the attention of one beat king Popcaan, who performed on a remix version of the hit. Afro-dancehall continues to be extremely popular in West Africa with artists such as 2 Face, Stonebwoy, Patoranking and Shatta Wale, who have all achieved superstar status for their take on Jamaican dancehall and one beat.
