Diddy is well-versed in making sound business decisions. He's made a career out of making these choices, and as a result, he's become one of Hip Hop's most influential figures. Diddy made a business move recently that should bring him a lot of success in the future.

On Wednesday (July 15), Billboard reported that Diddy had hired Wassim "Sal" Slaiby, who also manages The Weeknd. After signing with talnet agency WME in June and launching The Excellence Program, a virtual development program and CV database for aspiring industry executives from underrepresented areas.

With the release of his massive sixth studio album 'After Hours' in 2020 and 2021, Saliby's collaboration with The Weeknd was apparent, and the Toronto singer became an even bigger megastar. Slaiby also represents Ty Dolla $ign, French Montana, and Doja Cat, whose new album recently debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

Slaiby was selected Variety's manager of the year in 2020, and he was featured on the cover of Billboard's Change Agents issue in January. It's clear that Slaiby's success with management is no accident, and Diddy is looking for the same results with a new client.

Dancehall Shenseea recently announced that Wassim 'Sal' Slaiby was her new manager, creating a stir in the Jamaican music scene.
