The Grammy Awards nominations for 2022 are now available. The following albums earned the six available spots in the reggae category. Etana with Pamoja, Sean Paul with Live N Livin, Spice with 10, Jesse Royal with Royal, Gramps Morgan with Positive Vibration, and reggae band SOJA with Beauty in the Silence.
This year's nominations are notable in several ways. Firstly, it's the first time that two females are up for the award. Secondly, it's been a while that so many Jamaicans have been nominated with only American Reggae band Soja in the mix.
Again we will hear the cries for the airing of the category, which will not happen in the foreseeable future since the category is not among the major categories that can draw the significant sponsorship for the televised section of the annual awards event.
