The Wailer's 1973 album "Catch A Fire" is being reissued on vinyl and CD for its 50th anniversary.
The 3CD deluxe and 3LP vinyl + 12-inch packages include the original studio album's audio, the first official release of Live at The Paris Theatre, London, and a Sessions disc with alternate/extended/instrumental versions of the album tracks (including the two alternate versions of "Stir It Up" released on a seven-inch single for Record Store Day this year).
Three tracks from the Sundown Theatre in Edmonton, North London, are added to CD 3 and make up the 12-inch single included with the vinyl box set.
Both shows include booklets with fresh comments (by Chris Salewicz) and previously unseen pictures. They also include the original Zippo lighter on one side and Bob smoking his spliff on the other. There is also a unique D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) coloured vinyl edition available.
The 50th anniversary of Catch A Fire will be released on November 3, 2023 by UMR/Island.
